چکیده
This study was conducted on 12 cats with 11 supracondylar femur fractures and one distal diaphyseal fracture. Fracture properties, operation details, postoperative complications, radiographic images of the cases were recorded. The in classified according to Salter‐Harris, they determined as type I 1, Type II 7, IV 3 them. Dynamic intramedullary cross pinning technique applied patients Salter‐Harris II, fractures, dynamic pinning, intercondylar screw application, for that, fractures. It observed that 8 who operated used their extremities after removing bandage relevant extremity. In two lameness due other regions, but extremity movement returned normal healing bone. A patient a fracture, extent damage joint result trauma, had narrowing limping angle. pin migration occurred five days operation, cross‐pinning second operation. consequence findings, it influential treatment cats.

Supracondylar nailing for difficult distal femur fractures.
PURPOSE To evaluate outcome following supracondylar nailing for distal femur fractures. METHODS The clinical and radiological outcome for 13 patients treated between January 1995 and December 1998 at the University Malaya Medical Center was assessed. Patients were seen for follow-up for a mean duration of 20.2 months. RESULTS There were no cases of non-union or infection. Overall assessment...
متن کاملPediatric Diaphyseal Femur Fractures: Submuscular Plating Compared With Intramedullary Nailing.
This study compared the radiographic and clinical outcomes of pediatric diaphyseal femur fractures treated by submuscular plating, flexible retrograde intramedullary nailing, or rigid antegrade intramedullary nailing with a trochanteric entry point in skeletally immature patients who were 8 years and older. A retrospective review was conducted of skeletally immature patients 8 years and older w...
متن کاملRetrograde versus antegrade intramedullary nailing of gunshot diaphyseal femur fractures.
BACKGROUND The use of retrograde nailing for gunshot wound femur fractures is controversial due to concerns of knee sepsis after this procedure since the knee is entered to introduce the nail into the canal. QUESTIONS/PURPOSES We compared retrograde and antegrade nailing for gunshot femur fractures to determine whether (1) knee sepsis or other adverse events were more likely to complicate pro...
متن کاملFlexible intramedullary nailing in the treatment of diaphyseal fractures of the femur in preschool children.
Femur fractures in preschool children are mostly treated in a conservative way, by means of spica cast immobilisation or skin traction. In school age children the use of flexible intramedullary nails (FIN) is widely used and promoted. We performed intramedullary nailing in 9 preschool children aged 1.5-6 years. The mean length of postoperative hospital stay was 4 days (range: 3 to 6). The mean ...
متن کاملFractures of the Distal Femur Fractures of the Distal Femur
The distal end of the femur traditionally encompasses the lower third of this bone. This zone varies greatly in the literature, from the distal 7.6 cm to the distal 15 cm of the femur. This chapter deals only with fractures that involve the supracondylar (metaphyseal) or intercondylar (epiphyseal) areas of the distal end of the femur. Distal femoral fractures that are purely diaphyseal are disc...
